1. The Power of M.ending, M.oulding, and M.odelinge
-In a world that demands agility, resilience, and purpose-driven leadership, the ability to M.end, M.ould, and M.odel is more crucial than ever. Authentic leadership is not about control—it’s about transformation, beginning from within and extending outward.
In a fractured world, authentic leadership begins with inner repair. Before guiding teams, leaders must address their wounds—limiting beliefs, unresolved trauma, or ego-driven biases. Emotional intelligence (EQ) and mindfulness practices are the new "working tools" for self-mending.
Leaders are not perfect—they are evolving. To lead authentically, we must first mend what is fractured within ourselves and our organizations. The 21st century has seen the collapse of rigid, top-down leadership in favor of empathy, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
There was a time not long ago when I felt betrayed by my health. I wasn't sleeping well. I worked out, but I didn't enjoy it much. It felt like my life depended on every rep or jog through the park—that strange feeling of being an observer outside of my body, questioning the identity of the observed. Like the sudden change in the wind, the clouds move in, blocking the permanent sunlight, followed by the unthinkable.
Life takes a complete 180 turn, and that strange feeling of uneasiness from years of deteriorating sleep, mild depression, compounded by chronic back pain, and severe seasonal allegories became emboldened and ripped a gaping hole in a decade-long life of predictability. These were all manifestations of how I felt – my emotions were talking to me.
I genuinely understand Neville Goddard's profound statement: Life doesn't happen to you; it happens through you. I was knocked down, but I remembered my football days when I learned to be comfortable with the view of the sky from lying on my back. I learned to get up, not just get up, but with a plan in mind. I visualized myself executing the next play successfully. So I did.
I sought the help of a life coach for my mind and a masseuse for my body. And my community, as they always do, rose to the occasion, reminding me of who I am. I was tasked with healing my spirit by unleashing the power that never leaves.
I am deeply grateful to Jenni and Shelly for their expertise and unwavering support. Their contributions were instrumental in my journey towards healing.
